Our partners from Fraunhofer will present their progress on Z-BRE4K project at the 25th International Conference on Production Research, hosted in Chicago from the 9th to the 14th of August 2019.

The ICPR will bring together global researchers in innovation for manufacturing, academia and  government and companies’ research labs aimed to advance to a new level of multi-faceted manufacturing systems. During this event, researchers will be able to share their advance on the several topics related to manufacturing and industrial field in general (i.e.: Additive, Digital and Cyber  Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering and Operations, among others), as well as special tracks (i.e.: AR and VR for Manufacturing, Cloud-based Manufacturing Services, IoT, Data Analytics and Smart manufacturing, among others).

The paper presented by our partners from Fraunhofer exposes their approach for a holistic predictive maintenance strategy by incorporating a digital twin. It describes the process map to uncover needed data to build and integrate a digital twin in terms of predictive maintenance. The digital twin could provide results to improve data-driven prediction models, in order to obtain a better estimation of the RUL.

Step by step, we are approaching the Factories of the Future.
