Hannover Messe has been the world’s most important industrial tradeshow and largest capital goods exhibition for years. From individual components to the complete intelligent factory, as well as topical trends such as energy efficiency, lightweight construction and additive manufacturing the fair aims to provide a complete picture of the industrial value-adding chain under one roof.

Like in 2016, an entire fair pavilion was dedicated to “Predictive Maintenance 4.0”, with exhibitors presenting complete systems and solutions aimed at minimizing downtimes, reducing energy consumption and cutting running costs of production equipment. Moreover, specific guided tours on “Predictive Maintenance 4.0” where organized, through which participants got the chance to network with innovative companies that are already actively using predictive maintenance systems, and to experience the latest ideas, solutions and applications first hand.

Z-BRE4K partners CRIT and CORE attended Hannover Messe for technology watch purposes, i.e. to ensure that ongoing relevant technological developments and innovations are identified, analysed, and built upon during the course of the project. Indeed, the technology watch activity provided key insights for the project technical development, in particular through:

  • The analysis of competing solutions to the Z-BRE4K platform, offered by other service providers;
  • The identification of potential technical partners with complementary technologies for the full deployment of Z-BRE4K;
  • The drawing of inspiration for the construction of a solid value proposition for Z-BRE4K services, once exploitation activities will reach their operational phase;
  • The identification of the competitive business models, to align the value proposition with the market trends and needs.
